Poem by Linda O'Dwyer

Its dark I cannot see.

The path that lies in front of me.

With arms outstretched and fearful steps.

I stumble on into the depths.

Where is the switch, to cast the light?

And guide me through my darkest night.

Aloud I summon, god above.

Where are you now, where is your love?

With anger raising in my soul.

I fall into the darkest hole.

Desperate now, I pace and pace.

To find a way out of this place.

Exhausted now the tears are flowing

So hard, I almost miss the glowing.

It’s there it’s there, the smallest light.

I will my darkest night.

So can you
